IP Mediarouter

Rumo is a robust IP Mediarouting platform ideally suited for network traffic routing of redundant Transmit (Tx) and Receive (Rx) media flows. Rumo supports SRT and UDP/RTP media flow inputs to an unlimited number of SRT and UDP/RTP media flow outputs. Deployable natively on Linux or cross platform leveraging Docker – Rumo will provide exceptional robustness, ease of use under a very equitable Software as a Service (SaaS) license model.

Blue Eye - platform

The X Blue-Eye platform is based on and built with modern docker based software probes (Sondas) deployable in-scale providing deep analysis data of your OTT distribution services.

Highlights

Rumo supports SRT and UDP/RTP media flows including a full frame rate AVC, HEVC decode with audio monitoring visualizations that include a high frame rate thumbnail, dynamic audio dBFS meters, media flow data rates, transport stream statistics and flow statistics.

Rumo’s one to many IP media flow relationship facilitates a single redundant input media flow to many redundant output media flows. Deploy as many Rumo instances as necessary to achieve your input media flow requirements.

Management

Rumo includes an intuitive Web UI and a well documented REST API for third party integration and monitoring. TxRx Data provides excellent support and client customizations.

Visualizations

The WebUI is intuitive and informative. A high frame rate thumbnail, dynamic audio dBFS meters, media flow data rates, transport stream statistics and flow statistics.

Media Decoder

Rumo includes a software decoder supporting MPEG2, AVC, HEVC and JXS. Decoded frames can be rendered at full frame rate in the browser, audible audio is available and complete input flow metadata is included and can be incorporated in the Vista IP Multi-viewer.

Logging

Rumo provides comprehensive logging of configurations and media flow statistics via the WebUI or REST API.

Host Platform

Rumo is deployable natively on Linux platforms or via Docker. Docker deployments enable cross platform support for Windows, Mac or Linux. Rumo can be run on Laptops, workstations, servers on premise or in any cloud compute instance.

Risk Mitigation

Each Rumo enables one redundant Primary and Backup input media flow. The active input scales to the number of licensed media flow outputs and capacity of the CPU and network throughput – no increasing costs with increasing bandwidth.

If more than one input is needed, deploy as many Rumo instances as necessary to meet your input media flow requirements. Limiting each Rumo to one redundant media flow input significantly reduces the risk of media flow failure and enables servicing with near or zero downtime while maintaining media flows on other Rumo instances.

Scale

Rumo’s media flow output scale is only limited by the host platform capacity and network connection bandwidth. Pricing is based on licensed output Rx flows making deployments easy to scale to host capacity.

Flexible and economical SaaS Licensing

Rumo includes one Primary and one Backup media flow input with visualizations and statistics. Output scale is licensed per routed output and not based on flow data rates.

One to Many Routing

Each Rumo output can serve media flows to the host platform capacity meaning one output configuration can deliver flows to dozens or hundreds of receive sites.
